  2. We only accept team entries. Teams are made up of 2-5 people.
  3. If more than half of a team's composition is made up of people from outside of that track, that team will be ineligible for competing in that track.
  4. We encourage the formation of diverse teams.
  5. Your work should not infringe upon the copyrights of others.
  6. Submit original, fresh work.
  7. You may reuse code for specific components, but recycling a previous project is unacceptable.
  8. At least 1 team member needs to be present throughout a #codeathon kick-off for your team to be eligible for prizes.
  9. All judging decisions are final.
  10. Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following.
    • gender
    • gender identity and expression
    • age
    • sexual orientation
    • disability
    • physical appearance
    • body size
    • race
    • ethnicity
    • nationality
    • religion
    • previous hackathon attendance or lack of
    • computing experience or lack of
    • chosen programming language or tech stack
  11. We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following.
    • hacks
    • talks, presentations, or demos
    • workshops
    • any parties associated to the hackathon
    • social media
    • any other online media
  12. Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon without a refund (if applicable) at the discretion of the hackathon organisers.  
  13. By attending this event, you give us permission to use any general crowd photos /videos you appear in for marketing purposes. You also consent to be contacted by Code for Asia Society Ltd. via email, text messages, fax and/or post for matters relating to Code for Asia's programmes and activities as well as to give your opinion/feedback on such matters. If you do not wish to be contacted for these purposes, you will inform Code for Asia at hello [at] codefor.asia.
  14. The organisers do not accept responsibility and expressly excludes liability to the fullest extent permitted by law for:
    • any loss or damage to any personal property left unattended during an event organised by Code for Asia Society Ltd.
    • death or any personal injury suffered by you at a Code for Asia Society Ltd. event
  15. We may, at our discretion, audit your code to ensure that the work done was your own.
  16. The organisers reserve the right to change the above rules at any time.
